Necropoli di Filigosa, Macomer

The four Domus de janas were dug out of the hillside. They are all of similar construction, with different internal layouts.

A narrow access passageway (dromos) dug out of the rock provided access to the compact rocky bed. The anti cell was excavated here and was overlooked by the entrance way to the tombs with a low ceiling and a series of other rooms, again accessible through narrow openings.

Together with the nearby Nuraghe Ruggiu, it is supervised and open to the public in the morning.

At one km from the north exit for Macomer in the direction of Sassari, 500 m before the fork for Bosa, take the road on the left leading to the health centre. At the end of the road continue on foot passing an initial gate leading to a private property, after which you’ll find the entrance gate to the supervised area on your left.
