Tomba dei giganti Moru, Arzachena

The Tomb of the Giants of Moru stands at around two hundred metres from the Nuraghe Albucciu, in the area of Malchittu, and was probably used to house the local community’s dead.

The collective grave had a rectangular corridor, covered with horizontally arranged slabs where the bodies of the dead were placed. The exedra was added at a later date and marks out the wide ceremonial space opposite the tomb.

The site can be reached from Olbia by taking the country road SP 125 near the port, in the direction of Santa Teresa Gallura. At about 600 m from the town of Arzachena, the archaeological site is marked by a signpost in the car park. The tomb is about 200 m from there.
