18 domus de janas were uncovered at the particularly interesting limestone outcrop of Museddu and are now open to the public.
The concentration of this kind of tomb with their entrance doors dug out of the limestone side to create small beehive tombs is particularly interesting. Also worth mentioning is the XVI tomb, known as “Sa Presone” due to the present of a raised fireplace and walls punctuated with conspicuous bands.
In Roman times, the place was used for local agricultural work, establishing around forty wine making facilities on the rock. In the Middle Ages, it went back to its original use with five tombs being dug in the upper part of the limestone shelf.
