Domus de janas Jenna Salixi, Villa Sant'Antonio

The necropolis of Jenna Salixi lies on the border between the Marmilla and the Sarcidano, and is considered one of the most beautiful in Sardinia thanks to the architectural technique used. It has 14 domus de janas characterised by the monumental nature and accuracy of the work, which are also visible in the channelling system dug to protect the graves against rainwater infiltration. This is a horizontal projection domus which extends lengthwise, with an entrance preceded by a dromos. There are different elements which hint at the offerings and funeral rituals practiced here, like niches, shelves and pits.

The necropolis is about 1 km from the town, and is located on the provincial road for Senis, opposite the Caiu Nuraghe.
