The necroples lies at less than 500 metres from the famous pre-Nuragic altar-temple of Monte D’Accoddi.
The site has at least eight hypogea. These include the famous so-called Head Tomb, with nine rooms arranged around a central one.
Inside the main cell are two rectangular pillars and a large false door carved into the wall at the back, while inside one of the rooms on the right is a pillar with bovine protomes vertically overlapping on three sides.
In tombs II and III, «perforated» calcite cruciform statues of the Mother Goddess were found, together with other material, especially ceramics, linked to the Ozieri, Filigosa, Abealzu and Bonnànaro culture, as well as Monte Claro and Campaniforme. A ceramic fragment encrusted with red ochre with a male figure carved on it, perhaps brandishing a lance, was also found in Tomb III.
Tomb IV, also known as the Offering Table Tomb (now inaccessible) has thirteen cells spread across two floors. This tomb is also decorated with various motifs, including horn-shaped ones.
The necropolis can only be accessed across privately owned property.
Be extremely careful because the domus are very close to the railway lines and are not in very good condition.
