Dolmen Ciuledda_2_Luras

The Dolmen di Ciuledda was built on a granite rock crop in a small flat valley. There are a number of erratic blocks and cavities in the area with natural channels, perhaps partially adapted by man, which constitute an excellent downflow system for the rainwater around the monument.

The grave is semicircular with a south-east facing entrance, and has vertical slabs secured into the ground. The back wall has two overlapping slabs, while the roof has been created from a single polygonal block which is more than 3 metres long and 2 and a half metres wide.

Take the trunk road SP 10 from Luras towards Luogosanto to reach the monument. Turn right here onto the last road in the town (via Ariosto) and continue along this to the end. Follow the signs, continuing on your right for a few hundred metres on a downhill road. The dolmen is on enclosed land accessible through a wooden gate.
