Hidden away amidst conifer, chestnut and hazelnut trees, the megalithic compound of Biru ‘e Concas is one of the most extraordinary formations of menhir in the Mediterranean.
It has around 200 menhir arranged individually, in pairs or in triads, and sometimes in circles or in rows. The oldest and most numerous are aniconic and protoanthropomorphic, sketchily produced. The most recent are anthropomorphic, more delicately produced, with the representation in relief of a T-shaped facial diagram and a dagger. Most of them were found lying down, and some of them were lifted back up during the archaeological digs.

Starting from Sorgono, take the S.S. 128. After 2.4 km, turn right and take the S.S. 388. Follow this for 5.7 km and you will reach your destination.
