Li Lolghi, Arzachena

The Tomb of the Giants can be found in Li Lolghi, in a prominent position on a mount and can be seen even at a considerable distance, thanks to the imposing monolithic stele.

There are 14 knife-anchored slabs at its sides which cordon off the ceremonial area of the exedra. The burial chamber reveals two construction stages; the first one consisting of a tunnel tomb made up of orthostates and paved with granite slabs. The second one features the addition of a long corridor covered with slabs.

Departing from Arzachena, take the trunk road S.S. 427 towards Luogosanto; after 3 km, turn onto a paved road and you’ll come to Lolghi, where the structure looms high at the top of the hill.
