Matzanni -

The Matzanni Nuragic sanctuary nestles on the mountainside of Vallermosa, 700 m above sea level. The main site consists of two holy wells, at the centre of recent archaeological digs and a third, more distant one. The main well is preceded by a flight of steps which make the most of the rocky slope. The site is completed by a Nuragic village a few metres away and now immersed in an oak forest. The site sits in a magnificent natural context and enjoys a marvellous view. The visit is rounded off with the nearby Genna Cantoni site.
