The sacred well of San Salvatore can be found at the top of the Mitza Santu Srabadori hill.
Archaeological excavations have uncovered traces of a long and intense usage.
The well opens out onto a rectangular paved atrium from where a long staircase leads to the underground tholos-covered chamber with water table.
The structure was dramatically altered in the Punic era. A room with an aniconic baetylus in the centre was created in the atrium with lithic cista alongside. From the excavation details, it was presumed that the site continued to be used as a place of worship. A small church dedicated to San Salvatore was built near the well but is no longer in existence.
From the hamlet of Figu, follow the country road SP 72 for about 100 m then take the exit on the left and follow the road for 1.3 km until you reach your destination.
