Pozzo sacro Coni, Nuragus

Pozzo sacro Coni, Nuragus

Very close to the imposing structure of the nuraghe di Santu Millanu.

The shape and square basalt blocks of the tholos and steps of the small sacred well convey its level of sophistication.

Inside, an important bronze statue depicting a female figure was found and is now on display at the Cagliari National Archaeological Museum. In Roman times, structures were added to supply water.

From the via S. Elia di Nuragus, following the road signs, take the paved road leading to the well.
