The site is made up of a building compound Nuraghe with large basalt blocks and relative village.
The Nuraghe’s central tower is surrounded by four side towers connected by a curtain wall. There is a large courtyard inside the fortress. The tholos in the lower room of the fortified tower is still intact, even if full of rubble and inaccessible. The second room, connected to the lower one via a raised stairwell, stands out. The remains of a turreted defence wall and village bells can be seen around the fortress. The crumbled Nuraghe material includes unusually shaped ashlars complete with cavities and edges to insert securing lead staples.
The Nuraghe lies at 2.5 km from the town of Scano di Montiferro, along the SP 21 towards Sagama. Just after the Parco degli Uccelli, climb up the low hill on the left.
