The monument stands in Mesu de Roccas, on a rocky peak, dominating the Riu Mannu valley in Logudoro.
The Fronte ‘e Mola is an interesting proto-Nuraghe, with a rectangular layout with clearly defined edges (16.20 m long with a remaining height of 8 m). There is a long corridor (12 m long, 1.20 m wide, 2.50 m high) with subsidiary chambers and a staircase running parallel to the external perimeter of the walls and ending in a large, rectangular upper room, open to the elements and with only a few remaining rows. The walls on the foundation levels are of large trachyte masses supporting smaller blocks on the next levels up.
Leave the town of Thiesi heading towards Ittiri to reach the monument. Once passed the Romana fork, after 2.8 km, you’ll come to two gates facing each other on either side of the road. Leave your car and enter the one on the left; climb the slope, through the vegetation, to reach the Nuraghe.
