The monument was built close to the coast, dominating the beach of Foxi Manna.
It is a Nuraghe compound with a central tower joined up by curtain walls with three side towers. There are internal corridors inside the walls which connect the building’s towers. Currently, only the monument’s central tower is open to visitors. The Nuraghe was built using granite and trachyte, but there are also basalt insertions, a raw material that is not local, and whose closest deposits are several kilometres away.
Take via Aldo Moro from the Foxi Mannu hamlet to reach the site, as far as the signs indicating the “Nuraghe Aleri”. Leave your car and continue along a short stretch of paved road. Follow the path, marked by a road sign, which leads into the hillock and takes you as far as the Nuraghe.
