Nuraghe Aidu, Cossoine

Nuraghe Aidu, Cossoine

This is the main Nuraghe in the area, linked directly to the nearby Nuraghe Corru Oes.

The quatrefoil presents the soaring central tower built using half-squared stone. The force of the collapse obliterated the main room on the lower floor, while part of the first floor is still visible. The important environmental context rounds off this visit to a place of undoubted charm.

Follow Via Pietro Basciu on the way out of Cossoine for about 400 m. Then, take the trunk road SS 292 dir, and follow it for 2.5 km. Take a slight left turn and you’ll find the archaeological site on your right.
