Located at the top of the Giara di Gesturi, in a very panoramic spot that can easily be reached by car.
The Bruncu Madugui compound is perhaps the most well-known example of protonuraghic architecture.
The elongated protonuraghe preserves eight rows of basalt blocks. The inside features a corridor running its full length. A narrow entrance introduces a staircase that leads to two rooms located on the top floor. We again find the corridor leading downwards to a possible second entrance.
Not far off is the village consisting of circular huts with paved flooring and complete with hearths, niches and seats: each block overlooks a central courtyard.
Road signs provide directions to Giara on the left as you leave the town centre of Gesturi. Continue for 4.2 km until you reach the car park at the summit of the Giara, where the current-day entrance to the park is also situated: the nuraghe is on the left and is about 4,000 m away either on foot or by car.
