Situated inside the enormous Sette Fratelli park, a green space in Cagliari’s hinterland, we find the sa Dom’e s’Orku Tomb of the Giants, also known as the Is Concias.
This is one of the best-preserved tombs of Giants, thanks to the restoration work to preserve it.
The monument consists of local granite rock. It has the classic layout of Giant tombs in southern Sardinia, with frontal exedra made up of stones that decrease in size towards the external arch. A betyl is visible alongside the trapezoidal entrance, though it was uncovered in the space opposite the exedra during the archaeological dig. The funeral corridor is about 8 metres long and there is a large rectangular shelf for offerings in the apse. Three votive wells can be found on the far western wing which aren’t very deep, cordoned off by two different-sized diameter rings, overlapping and concentric, of large and small stones alongside.
Take the trunk road SS125 towards the Diverland aquatic park to reach the Is Concias tomb. Once past the park, take the road on the right indicated in the signs and continue for 6 km.
