The S’Ena e Thomes Tomb of the Giants can be found in the Dorgali district, on a lush plateau.
It was carefully restored in the 1970s and this is why it is extremely well preserved.
The tomb was built using local granite. The front part presents a semicircular shape (exedra) made with knife-anchored slabs into the ground and arranged in decreasing height.
At the centre of the exedra is the curved stele standing almost four metres high with a small symbolic door at the bottom.
The funeral corridor is about 11 metres long and perfectly preserved. It has a roof made with stone slabs horizontally arranged along the walls of the corridor. There are traces of the ancient flooring in granite slabs.
Take the country road SP38 (Dorgali-Lula) to reach the site and follow it as far as Km 19. Park your car in the designated lay-by and continue on foot along the path leading to the site.
