The beach of Santa Giusta lies in the area of Castiadas, along the southeastern coast of Sardinia.
The place name identifies a vast stretch of shoreline which develops around the promontory of Punta Santa Giusta.
Furthermore, this cove is the last one on the coastal stretch of Castiadas, and in general of the Costa Rei shoreline. This stretch is the administrative limit between the municipalities of Castiadas and Muravera.
The shoreline stretches for about one kilometre, and along which it often takes on different names, such as the beach of Villa Rei, after the tourist spot.
The northern part of the shoreline sits between a small cove, cordoned off to the south by the small granite promontory of Punta Santa Giusta and to the north by the granite outcrop known as the Peppino reef.
The shoreline of Santa Giusta has fine, clear-coloured sand, with golden shimmers, where shingle sometimes appears. The sea is transparent and crystal-clear, with turquoise shades and hints of green. The seabed is shallow and gradually slopes out into the deep sea.
To the north, there is also a small dune system where a number of essences grow, including sea daffodils and further in land, juniper. This environment is a priority protected habitat.
On the promontory, towards the sea, there is a bronze statue depicting the blessing Christ facing out to sea.
The northern part of the beach is part of the Site of Community Importance (SCI) “Punta di Santa Giusta (Costa Rei)” (ITB042233), regulated by the Rete Natura 2000.
