Sa Conca ‘e s’Egua is a small green oasis in Siapiccia, in the province of Oristano.
The nature site lies on the slopes of the forestry area of Monte Grighine (673 m a.s.l.), in a south-westerly direction. This is where the flow of the rio Su Forraino stems from.
The area is equipped and clean with two springs (one also called Conca ‘e s’Egua), stone and wooden tables, benches and an area for lighting a fire.
There are a number of paths in the park heading towards the mountain, one in particular in the direction of a hydrothermal “dicco”, a mainly quartz rock outcrop that emerges between the granite stones.
The forest is populated with large specimens of holm oaks, probably centuries old, and typical essences of Mediterranean shrub.
In order to reach the site, you need to pay attention to the road and forks as navigators don’t always give the right directions. The risk is you end up going round the site, on rough track roads that are not always in the best state.
