The plateau of Pranu Ollisa lies in the area to the north of the town of Allai, in the historical region of Barigadu.
They geology of the place is linked mainly to volcanic events, connected to different eras.
The vegetation is made up mainly of broad leaves, Mediterranean shrub and oak trees, such as cork and holm oak.
The area is well known for its different archaeological sites from the nuraghe era, including the nuraghe of the same name, Pranu Ollisa and domus de janas. Some of the latter were built in natural caverns in trachyte stone.
The site can be reached easily from the town of Allai and is mainly a point of passage for numerous archaeological and nature trails. These are indicated by different signs found along the access road.
The Pranu Ollisa plateau is, in turn, a continuation of Pranu Loddùo and Pranu Margiàni to the south, towards the most important forest of Monte Grighine.
