The Tree House is in a park on the outskirts of the town of Allai, in the province of Oristano.
This is the first example of a public tree house built in Italy.
The house is built entirely of wood, on two tall eucalyptus trees and overlooks the Rio Massari (also known as flumineddu), immersed in a green wooded area.
The structure has three floors, easily accessible up steep but sturdy steps. From the flat terraces you can enjoy the panorama of the river and towards the town.
The municipal park surrounding the area offers picnic tables and a swing.
The tree house was built in 2010 by the architect and carpenter Daniele Del Grande from Abitalbero, who combines his love of nature with eco-sustainable structures. The project was developed under direct collaboration with the Allai municipality and the regional council body, Forestas.
