The Triulintas Waterfall can be found in the municipality of Martis, in the province of Sassari, in the historical area of Anglona.
The water from the rio Masino flows over the trachyte rocks at Badde Traes and drops around 15 metres at the point where it joins the rio Pontisella. The water from the waterfall ends in a small lake surrounded by a dense vegetation with elm trees, willow trees and aquatic flora. A wood grows around the river with downy oak and oak trees, mixed in with the shrub.
The remains of an old mill, active up until the mid-XX century and later abandoned, can still be seen near the waterfall.
Head out of the town of Martis towards Nulvi to reach the waterfall. Take the unpaved path on the right following the “sentiero storico-ambientale mulino Triulintas” sign. You’ll come to the open space at the car park after about a kilometre. From here continue on foot through the poplar trees and shrub. The walk entails crossing the river twice over a stone and cement bridge and a wooden one. There is an equipped picnic area along the way.
