The beach of Capo Comino can be found in Siniscola, in the province of Nuoro, on the central-eastern coast of Sardinia.
The shoreline extends for around 2.5 kilometres starting from the promontory of Capo Comino, to the north, with alternating sand and outcrops of granite rock.
The sand has a clear, fine grain, which is almost white and translucent.
The beach, towards land, is surrounded by a dune belt which reaches a height of about 12 m a.s.l. These are covered with plants of Mastic tree and juniper, as well as typical species found along the coast. Hares and foxes often dwell in the middle of the dunes.
In the dune wetlands of Salina Manna and Salinedda, it is possible to observe different birds of natural importance.
The beach is part of the Sites of Community Importance (SCI) “Berchida e Bidderosa” (ITB020012), regulated by the Rete Natura 2000.
