The beach at Cala Sa Figu can be found in the coastal area of Muravera, north of the Capo Ferrato promontory, on the eastern coast of Sardinia.
The small cove sits between the granite rock reef. The sand is fine and a clear colour, immersed amidst the rocks that skim the water surface or stick slightly above it. The seabed is shallow and mostly sandy and becomes rocky towards the reef.
The area behind the beach is cultivated by luxuriant Mediterranean shrub, interrupted only by paths providing access to the cove.
You can walk to the beach after leaving the car in a parking area in the Feraxi area. From here you can continue on foot for around 1.5 km as far as the cove.
Heading along the path you come to another small cove at Portu de s’Ilixi which is often confused in map making with the original Cala Sa Figu.
There are no bathing facilities at the Cala.
