The Multimedia Museum of the Canto a Tenore stands in the old city centre of Bitti.
The exhibition area, housed in a wing of the Museum of Sheep herding and Peasant Civilisation, has five rooms.
Thanks to modern audiovisual equipment and multimedia stations, it is possible to immerse oneself in the enigmatic richness of the canto a tenore.
In 2005, this ancestral polyphonic singing, given its uniqueness, was proclaimed a “Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by Unesco.
The museum offers an emotional experience which, through a kaleidoscope of sounds and images, culminates in the room dedicated to the intimate bond between canto a tenore and traditional dance.
