The Church of Sant’Antonio can be found in Ploaghe, where the rural location of the village of Salvennero originally stood, abandoned at the end of the XVIII century.
It stands not far from the Vallombrosian abbey of San Michele.
The title is not to be found in any Medieval documents.
The church has a single nave with south-easterly apse. It features alternating rows of limestone and red trachyte, which date it to around the first quarter of the XIII century.
It could be attributable to the same workforce which built the Santa Maria di Orria Piccinna.
The side parts were built during the XVIII century.
The facade features an eyebrow portal and rectangular window, probably dating from the Aragonese period. Furthermore, it has slim double ferule small arches while those in the apse have a semi-circular internal ferrule and external ogival.
