The church of San Gavino can be found in Gavoi.
The structure is late Gothic in Sardinian-Catalan style, popular in the south of the island between the XVI and XVII centuries.
In the middle of the facade, in pink trachyte, a manneristic style portal opens up. The portal has semi columns either side with Corinthian capitals and is decorated with angel heads. The portal’s structure ends with a split curved gable.
There is also an imposing rose window on the facade featuring a perforated, fish-bone splay and a sunburst of small columns.
The quadrangular bell tower is completed with Gothic arches. The bell chamber, on the other hand, features pointed monophors.
The interior has been considerably altered by restoration work and has a single nave.
The side chapels, accessible through ogival arches, are rib cross vaulted and are interconnecting.
The presbytery is slightly elevated with quadrangular layout and rib vaulted ceiling with hanging gems depicting San Gavino and four saints.
