The church of San Pancrazio stands at the top of a hill overlooking the wide surrounding valley. Nowadays, the building, designated as a church, is the remains of an ancient monastery which has not been definitively identified. We can presume that it represented a place of communal living, perhaps set up as a fire hall, considering the presence of a fireplace on its eastern wall. The nature of the entire original complex makes us think it probably functioned as a monastic site. Foundation structures of a quadrangular compound are visible in the eastern part of the plateau.
The church, built with even limestone and basalt ashlars, can be attributed to the Romanesque-Sardinian architectural trend found, and widely documented, in a large part of Sardinia.
