IDESE EDITORIAL POLICY. DISCOVER SARDINIA THROUGH YOUR OWN EYES
- The Idese Portal. Discover Sardinia through your own eyes is a non-profit project by the Segretariato Regionale del Ministero per la Sardegna to enhance the promotion of Sardinia’s cultural heritage and improve accessibility.
- It has been set up as a constantly evolving, open and participative platform.
- The editorial images and content of the site are available and can be freely used for studies and research but cannot be used for profit-making purposes or for other uses, unless previously authorised by the Segretariato Regionale del Ministero della Cultura per la Sardegna.
SEND PHOTOS AND TEXTS
Warranties and authorisations
By sending in one or more photos and relative descriptions via the idese.cultura.gov.it site, the user accepts and guarantees:
- they are the creator and owner of the rights of use and/or are free to make use of them
- to essentially and legally absolve the Segretariato Regionale del Ministero della Cultura per la Sardegna from any responsibility arising from the use of the images
- that the photos do not violate the rights of third parties.
The creator authorises the Segretariato Regionale del Ministero della Cultura per la Sardegna:
- to use the image/text free of charge, with no time limit (pursuant to paragraphs 10 and 320 of the Italian Civil Code and paragraphs 96 and 97 of Law 633 of 22.4.1941) even partially and/or modified or adapted for institutional, scientific, research, cultural, teaching and promotional non-profit purposes, with the CC-BY-NC-SA licence. The authorisation specified above implies the concession of a non-exclusive licence, transferable to third parties as part of institutional collaboration relations;
- the publication and/or distribution in any form of one’s images/texts on Internet websites and institutional social networks, in hard copy and/or any other means of distribution;
- the storage of the contributions themselves in the Administration’s digital archives;
Ownership and rights
- The creators will hold intellectual ownership of the works, but no payment shall be made for their use.
- With regard to the images published on the Idese site, paragraph 108 of the Cultural Heritage Code is applied (Legislative Decree 42 of 22 January 2004, as amended) and, as a result, where otherwise not specified, they are used under the conditions of the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA-NC) licence.
- The Segretariato Regionale del Ministero della Cultura per la Sardegna reserves the right to shortlist the contributions received and only publish those it regards as suitable based on their assessment.
The photos and texts on Idese have been autonomously uploaded by the creators or with their express consent. However, should you find one of your contributions which violates your rights, please send an e-mail to idese@cultura.gov.it and the Segretariato Regionale will take immediate action.
USING THE SITE
The website and its content are the property of the Segretariato Regionale del Ministero della Cultura per la Sardegna and its contributors.
The user is prohibited from using the site or its content for purposes other than for personal or research reasons.
The user is strictly prohibited from:
- downloading, copying or forwarding, in whole or in part, the content of the site without authorisation from the Segretariato Regionale;
- using data-recovery technologies, robots or similar methods for gathering or extracting data;
- altering or viewing the site or its contents in another way using navigation technology with framing or similar;
- performing reverse engineering operations, altering or changing any part of the site or its contents;
- bypassing, deactivating or interfering in any way with the site’s security functions or any other part of the system’s resources, service or network connected to or accessible via the site;
- selling, transferring under form of licence, hiring out or marketing the site’s contents in any way;
- using the site or its contents for purposes other than those for which they were created.
- The user declares and promises to observe all the laws and current regulations, including, and without limitation, the regulations concerning the Internet, data, e-mail accounts, privacy and technical data transmission.
SHARING OF CONTENT
The user can incorporate the site’s content into another website, blog or social-media platform using the “share” function. It may not be possible to share all the content and this condition could change without prior warning.
The Segretariato Regionale del Ministero della Cultura per la Sardegna reserves the right, at its own discretion, to remove previously published content.
The user can only employ the incorporated content for educational purposes. The incorporated content cannot be used: for commercial purposes or to generate consensus; in violation of any kind of restrictions given or for illegal intent.
The Segretariato Regionale del Ministero della Cultura per la Sardegna, or third parties acting on its behalf, can collect data on the use of the site and incorporated content.
