{"id":30178,"date":"2023-09-29T18:33:14","date_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:33:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/nuraghe-barru\/"},"modified":"2023-09-29T18:33:36","modified_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:33:36","slug":"nuraghe-barru","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/nuraghe-barru\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuraghe Barru"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Barru Nuraghe sits at the top of a limestone plateau overlooking the plain below, divided between the municipalities of <strong>Guasila<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Guamaggiore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The monument was built using square blocks of marl-limestone<strong> arranged into rows<\/strong>. The Nuraghe layout is <strong>complex<\/strong>. The fortified tower is elliptical and connected to it via curtain walls are two circular side towers. The presence of different <strong>silos for storing foodstuffs<\/strong>, and numerous stairwells, make the building\u2019s layout even more articulated. There is also a small room in the courtyard with a cistern well where animal and human remains were uncovered, as well as ceramic fragments and containers in excellent condition. During the archaeological digs, some <strong>bronze razors<\/strong> and a votive sword were uncovered.<br \/>\nOn the Eastern slope of the hill, we can find the remains of an extensive village.<\/p>\n<p>In order to reach the site, start from Guamaggiore (taking via De Nicola as your point of reference &#8211; you\u2019ll find a road sign). Further on is an incomplete building.
