The layout of the vast Nuraghe is not easy to make out due to the collapsed buildings and vegetation growing around, but it appears to consist of <strong>a central tower, five side towers and a courtyard<\/strong>. The tholos of the Nuraghe\u2019s central tower has collapsed. The collapsed material has covered the floor in the upper room. About thirty metres north of the Nuraghe lies the tomb of the giants. The tomb, built like the Nuraghe with blocks of andesite, no longer has its original roof.<\/p>\n<p>The Nuraghe can be reached along the SS 195 Sulcitana. At the traffic light in Villa San Pietro, turn left coming from Cagliari and right coming from Pula. Follow the road leading to the porto di Perd&#8217;e Sali, and after a few kilometres turn right for Porto Columbu. After about 300 metres, take the slightly uphill paved road leading to a wide-open space where you can park your car.
