{"id":30170,"date":"2023-09-29T18:33:11","date_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/nuraghe-fronte-e-mola\/"},"modified":"2023-09-29T18:33:35","modified_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:33:35","slug":"nuraghe-fronte-e-mola","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/nuraghe-fronte-e-mola\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuraghe Fronte &#8216;e Mola"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The monument stands in <em>Mesu de Roccas<\/em>, on a rocky peak, dominating the Riu Mannu valley in <strong>Logudoro.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Fronte &#8216;e Mola is an interesting <strong>proto-Nuraghe<\/strong>, with a <strong>rectangular<\/strong> <strong>layout<\/strong> with clearly defined edges (16.20 m long with a remaining height of 8 m). There is a long corridor (12 m long, 1.20 m wide, 2.50 m high) with subsidiary chambers and a staircase running parallel to the external perimeter of the walls and ending in a<strong> large, rectangular upper room<\/strong>, open to the elements and with only a few remaining rows.\u00a0The walls on the foundation levels are of <strong>large trachyte masses<\/strong> supporting smaller blocks on the next levels up.<\/p>\n<p>Leave the town of <strong>Thiesi<\/strong> heading towards Ittiri to reach the monument. Once passed the Romana fork, after 2.8 km, you\u2019ll come to two gates facing each other on either side of the road.
