{"id":30128,"date":"2023-09-26T13:30:37","date_gmt":"2023-09-26T11:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/cala-portese\/"},"modified":"2023-09-26T13:30:37","modified_gmt":"2023-09-26T11:30:37","slug":"cala-portese","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/cala-portese\/","title":{"rendered":"Cala Portese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Cala Portese<\/strong> is in the <strong>south-east of the island of Caprera<\/strong>, in the <strong>archipelago of La Maddalena<\/strong>, in <\/strong>northern Sardinia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>More precisely, the cove lies in the stretch connecting the <strong>Island of Caprera<\/strong> to the <strong>peninsula of Punta Rossa<\/strong> (or <strong>Isola Rossa<\/strong>), in the area known as the \u201c<strong>Due Mari<\/strong>\u201d (Two Seas). Due to the conformation of the isthmus, on the opposite side from <strong>Cala Portese<\/strong>, there is another <strong>small shoreline<\/strong>, exposed to the south-west.<\/p>\n<p>The shoreline of <strong>Cala Portese<\/strong> faces north-east and is enclosed in a bay of <strong>pink granite rocks<\/strong>. The <strong>beach<\/strong> has clear-coloured, <strong>fine sand<\/strong> <strong><\/strong>and the <strong>seabed is low <\/strong>, with a gentle slope. The <strong>beach<\/strong> is surrounded by a small <strong>dune system<\/strong>, colonised by <strong>juniper<\/strong> and <strong>mastic trees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>cove<\/strong> is part of the <strong>Parco Nazionale Arcipelago di La Maddalena<\/strong> and is covered by a full environmental protection order.
