{"id":29979,"date":"2023-09-15T11:30:10","date_gmt":"2023-09-15T09:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/panel-on-the-enel-building\/"},"modified":"2023-09-15T13:06:08","modified_gmt":"2023-09-15T11:06:08","slug":"panel-on-the-enel-building","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/panel-on-the-enel-building\/","title":{"rendered":"Panel on the Enel Building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>decorative panel<\/strong> can be found at the entrance to the <strong>Palazzo dell&#8217;Enel<\/strong> overlooking viale Diaz and piazza Amendola; the building, on the other hand, is the work of a project by the architect <strong>Gigi Gh\u00f2<\/strong> (1915-1998) and was built between 1958-1961.<\/p>\n<p>The relief is the work of a local artist, <strong>Eugenio Tavolara<\/strong> (Sassari 1901-1963). Produced using the <strong>bas-relief technique in stone and coloured cement<\/strong>, it dates from <strong>1962<\/strong> and was the last work produced by the artist.<\/p>\n<p>The decoration reflects the artist\u2019s typical work in that decade, though it differs in the choice of shapes.
