{"id":29942,"date":"2023-08-30T12:17:56","date_gmt":"2023-08-30T10:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/cala-sinzias\/"},"modified":"2023-08-30T12:17:56","modified_gmt":"2023-08-30T10:17:56","slug":"cala-sinzias","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/cala-sinzias\/","title":{"rendered":"Cala Sinzias"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Sinzias Cove<\/strong> lies in the coastal area of <strong>Castiadas<\/strong>, to the <strong>south-east of Sardinia<\/strong>, in the province of <strong>Sud-Sardegna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>cove<\/strong> stretches for around<strong>2 kilometres<\/strong>, north of the promontory of <strong>Punta de is Cappuccinus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the middle of the <strong>beach<\/strong> is the <strong>mouth of the Rio di Laccus<\/strong>, which tends to dry up during the warmer months.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>shoreline<\/strong> has <strong>fine-grain clear sand<\/strong>, bordered to the north and south by <strong>granite rock reefs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There is a small <strong>dune system<\/strong> at the highest point of the beach, mainly colonised by <strong>typical herbaceous species found in this area<\/strong>.<br \/>\nBehind the beach, in the <strong>central-southern part<\/strong>, is a <strong>small forest of eucalyptus<\/strong> growing alongside <strong>shrub with junipers, mastic trees, wild olive and pines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>sea at Cala Sinzias<\/strong> is <strong>clear<\/strong> and <strong>transparent<\/strong>, maintaining its <strong>naturalness<\/strong>, so much so that it was flagged by <strong>Legambiente\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>Goletta Verde<\/strong> as one of <strong>the purest in Sardinia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>underwater bar<\/strong> system of the submerged part of the beach creates alternations of <strong>shallow<\/strong> or <strong>deep seabeds<\/strong>, depending on the part of the beach.<\/p>\n<p>Since the 1980\u2019s <strong>Cala Sinzias<\/strong>, <strong><\/strong> has been <strong>a tourist destination<\/strong> with an <strong>area equipped for campers<\/strong> and two well-known <strong>camping villages<\/strong> overlooking the beach.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>beach<\/strong> provides full services: <strong>parking<\/strong>, <strong>beach resorts with swimming facilities<\/strong>, <strong>kiosks-bars<\/strong> and <strong>restaurants<\/strong>.
