{"id":29931,"date":"2023-08-29T14:48:30","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T12:48:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/su-notante-sacred-well\/"},"modified":"2023-08-29T14:48:30","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T12:48:30","slug":"su-notante-sacred-well","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/su-notante-sacred-well\/","title":{"rendered":"Su Notante sacred well"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Downstream from the <a href=\"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/area-archeologica-janna-e-pruna\/\">Janna &#8216;e Pruna sacred complex<\/a> is the <strong>Su Notante sacred well<\/strong>, dedicated to the <strong>worship of water<\/strong> and built over an eternal spring which is still flowing today.<\/p>\n<p>The well was built using <strong>carefully carved basalt ashlars<\/strong>. The sacred building still preserves the western side of its facade backing onto the natural rock from where <strong>the eternal spring flows<\/strong>. It is still possible to admire a stretch of enclosure wall in large blocks of granite, which slot into the fabric of the wall on the well\u2019s facade.<\/p>\n<p>Exit Irgoli and take the S.S. 129 towards Capo Comino. Turn left and follow the signs for the Janna &#8216;e Pruna archaeological site.
