The archaeological site sits on the left bank of the Tirso River about 2 km from the town of Sorradile near Lake Omodeo.<\/p>\n

It is a sanctuary made up of several buildings. The buildings lie inside a large enclosure or temenos.
\nThe different constructions are arranged around a main structure used for worshiping: it is a circular temple preceded by a trapeziodal shaped vestibule. The latter has seating built into the walls.
\nThe temple was created with carefully shaped blocks and juxtaposes<\/strong>.
\nInside the temple’s circular room, archaeologists found a large number of items: bronze ex voto, including a boat, tools and ritual vases. Standing out among the various artifacts is a large altar-basin<\/strong> placed at the centre of the structure and built using blocks of trachyte linked with lead staples. The altar is carved in the shape of a Nuraghe and brings to mind similar Nuargic findings, including the altar-basin from the Nuraghe Su Mulinu in Villanovafranca.
\nNumerous crumbled blocks<\/strong> which were part of the temple were uncovered during excavation work.
\nThere is a kind of elliptical shaped enclosure to the east of the temple built with finely processed blocks. Two smaller structures are accessible through the enclosure, one built using carefully squared blocks and situated to the north of the temple and the other one to the east.<\/p>\n
