{"id":29866,"date":"2023-08-18T12:13:25","date_gmt":"2023-08-18T10:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/the-alvu-nuragic-complex\/"},"modified":"2023-08-18T12:13:25","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T10:13:25","slug":"the-alvu-nuragic-complex","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/the-alvu-nuragic-complex\/","title":{"rendered":"The Alvu Nuragic Complex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>High up on the edge of the plateau, the Nuraghe Alvu takes visitors aback, as they come along the trunk road SS 292, by its size and attractive <strong>two-tone<\/strong> appearance.<\/p>\n<p>Those who built it used a <strong>white limestone<\/strong> on the upper part of the main tower, on top of the<strong> dark volcanic stone<\/strong> base and this still surprises those who stop to admire the monument.<br \/>\nUncovered at different stages, the <strong>Nuraghe complex<\/strong> has an arrangement of <strong>external towers<\/strong>, a courtyard and a <strong>central tower<\/strong>.
