{"id":29838,"date":"2023-08-16T14:38:04","date_gmt":"2023-08-16T12:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/church-of-santanastasia-2\/"},"modified":"2023-11-03T14:11:28","modified_gmt":"2023-11-03T13:11:28","slug":"church-of-santanastasia-2","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/church-of-santanastasia-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Church of Sant&#8217;Anastasia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Church of Sant\u2019Anastasia<\/strong> can be found in <strong>Tissi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>1175,<\/strong> a document clarified its title and <strong>ownership to the Vallombrosians abbey of San Michele di Plaiano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The church, built with medium-sized limestone ashlars, can be attributed to a <strong>Tuscan workforce<\/strong> active in the Giudicate of Torres <strong>around the middle of the XII century<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Originally<\/strong>, the church had a <strong>single nave layout with apse to the south-east<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>XVII century,<\/strong> the building underwent a number of <strong>changes<\/strong>: the <strong>sides<\/strong> were demolished to build a series of <strong>seventeenth-century<\/strong> <strong>chapels<\/strong> and to provide entry to the sacristy.<\/p>\n<p>Only the <strong>facade<\/strong> <strong>of the Romanesque church<\/strong> has remained intact.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>facade<\/strong> is framed by wide corner blocks, which weld onto the flat talus base and the arches of the pitched roofs. In addition to this, it is articulated into three <strong>transoms<\/strong> by two half-pilasters which start from the ground and reach the top part.
