As you approach the Roccia dell\u2019Orso, magnificent natural monument shaped by the wind in Sardinia<\/strong>, you\u2019ll be lulled by the sound of the sea and the cicadas singing, immersed in uncontaminated nature, and exhilarated by the aroma of myrtle, broom and Mastic tree.<\/p>\n

The imposing structure which lends its name to the entire promontory, overlooks the crystal-clear sea<\/strong> in the island\u2019s extreme north.<\/p>\n

Land of myths and legends, Capo d\u2019Orso is perhaps the Homeric \u201cLand of the Lestrigoni\u201d, ferocious giants capable of frightening even the courageous and smart Ulysses.<\/p>\n

In order to reach the iconic rock, just follow our tour guides<\/strong> who, once you\u2019ve parked your car and bought your ticket, will accompany you along the half-kilometre walk<\/strong> which, from the slopes of the promontory, reaches as far as the core of the Orso, at a height of 520 metres.<\/p>\n

From the summit of the headland you\u2019ll take in the mysterious Maddalena islands<\/strong>, stage to a number of battles at sea. Further north, beyond the dangerous Strait of Bonifacio, you\u2019ll catch a glimpse of the high mountains in Corsica, twin sister to Sardinia.<\/p>\n
