It flows over very white <strong>granite rocks<\/strong> smoothed by water at a height of around 1,000 m a.s.l., in the area between <strong>Villagrande Strisaili<\/strong> and <strong>Talana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Bau Mela<\/strong>, a <strong>primary forest<\/strong> of <strong>oak trees<\/strong>, <strong>century-old juniper trees<\/strong> and <strong>Mediterranean shrub<\/strong> is home to the <strong>natural pools of Bau Mela<\/strong>. This area is marked by the presence of two <strong>waterfalls<\/strong>, <strong>basins<\/strong>, <strong>cauldrons<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>crystal-clear wells<\/strong>, dug out of the <strong>granite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The first and most imposing waterfall creates a larger pool, while the second one is split into smaller pools, equally easy to reach.<\/p>\n<p>In the surrounding area, a delightful path, complete with <strong>tables where you can stop off<\/strong>, leads to the magnificent <strong>Sothai waterfall<\/strong>, in the <em><\/em><strong>Bau Vigo<\/strong> canyon.<\/p>\n<p>The importance of this water supply comes from the presence of a dam and a hydro-electric plant.
