The monument can be found near the marina di Tertenia, in the southern-central part of the region known as Sarrala. The structure stands on a hillock dominating the Foxi ‘e Murdegu beach.<\/p>\n
It is a compound-style Nuraghe. The building consists of a main tower<\/strong>, four secondary towers<\/strong>, two courtyards<\/strong>\u00a0and a cistern well<\/strong>. The structure was built mainly with local rock<\/strong> (porphyry and granite). There are supporting wedges in the external walls made of basalt<\/strong>, a material that is not local<\/strong> and most likely comes from the current-day area of Barisardo. The Nuraghe is also surrounded by an imposing massive wall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n During the excavation work, numerous items were uncovered: fragments of decorative bronze statues<\/strong>, including an archer\u2019s directional flag and the boss of a warrior\u2019s shield. A vase from the Nuragic era was also found with an unusual shape, interpreted as an antique distiller<\/strong>. Lastly, the discovery of some fragments of Mycenaean ceramic is worth mentioning.<\/p>\n The remains of a village<\/strong> were uncovered near the Nuraghe with circular and straight structures, and the remains of cobblestones with rectangular equidistant wells, perhaps housing for the posts of a colonnade.<\/p>\n Take the road out of Tertenia towards Marina di Tertenia. Once past the hamlet of Foxi Murdegu, turn right following the signs for Nuraghe Nastasi.
