{"id":29653,"date":"2023-08-03T11:54:18","date_gmt":"2023-08-03T09:54:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/rena-bianca\/"},"modified":"2023-11-08T10:36:14","modified_gmt":"2023-11-08T09:36:14","slug":"rena-bianca","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/rena-bianca\/","title":{"rendered":"Rena Bianca"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>beach of Rena Bianca<\/strong> lies in <strong>Santa Teresa di Gallura<\/strong>, on the <strong>northern coast of Sardinia<\/strong>, in the province of <strong>Sassari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>beach<\/strong> can be found a few hundred metres from the outskirts of the town and <strong>extends for about 300 metres<\/strong>, surrounded by <strong>rocky granite reefs<\/strong> typical of <strong>Gallura<\/strong>. <strong>On the promontories around<\/strong>, luxuriant <strong>Mediterranean shrub and garigue grow<\/strong> with <strong>juniper<\/strong> and <strong>Mastic trees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>sandy shore<\/strong> has <strong>fine, white sand<\/strong>, while its <strong>seabeds are low<\/strong>, <strong>sandy<\/strong> and <strong>gently slope out to sea<\/strong>. It is not uncommon to find <strong>fragments of coral<\/strong> on the water\u2019s edge as well as other organisms with carbonate shell.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rena Bianca<\/strong> also offers a <strong>panoramic view<\/strong> out to sea, towards the <strong>strait<\/strong> and <strong>Corsica<\/strong>. Indeed, on a clear day, it is not uncommon to extend your gaze <strong>as far as the houses sitting on the white rocks of Bonifacio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As with nearby<strong> Capo Testa<\/strong>, there are visible <strong>traces in this area too of granite quarries dating to the Roman era<\/strong>.
