The compound was created over <strong>three different construction stages<\/strong> and currently displays <strong>a central tower with terrace, a stronghold and various huts <\/strong>partly located inside and partly outside the <strong>defence wall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The monument is <strong>under a viaduct<\/strong>, and just a few centimetres separate the remaining upper part of the monument from the cement girders supporting the road, so the overall view is compromised.<\/p>\n<p>There is currently a project underway funded by the Ministry for Culture aimed at returning the monumental compound to the people, encompassing it within a large exhibiting room to isolate it as much as possible from the presence of the road structures, by recreating a direct access to the area and by redesigning new traffic circulation, parking and green space.
