{"id":29393,"date":"2023-07-25T17:49:40","date_gmt":"2023-07-25T15:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/nuraghe-seruci\/"},"modified":"2023-07-26T13:40:47","modified_gmt":"2023-07-26T11:40:47","slug":"nuraghe-seruci","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/nuraghe-seruci\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuraghe Seruci"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nuragic complex of Seruci, which, together with its village, extends for over five hectares taking in at least <strong>one Tomb of the Giants<\/strong> stands out on the plateau dominating the surrounding area as far as the sea.<\/p>\n<p>The Nuraghe is in reasonably good condition and had <strong>a central tower and five or six side towers<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe central tower was set out over<strong> three levels,<\/strong> one on top of the other. It is still possible to visit various cells inside where probable traces of a <strong>cork insulation coating<\/strong> can be seen on the floor. One of the rooms on the first floor still preserves intact the<strong> tholos<\/strong> ceiling.<br \/>\nThe village is one of the most important on the island, with <strong>more than one hundred huts divided into six blocks<\/strong>, a main square probably used for trading,<strong> a temple and hut for meetings<\/strong>. In addition, the huts are internally arranged into different rooms separated by walls, a kind of evolution of the classic design of a Nuragic hut.<\/p>\n<p>Take the provincial road SP 108 from Gonnesa towards Portoscuro for about 3 km.
