In this place of particular panoramic and naturalistic importance, we can also find a <strong>well-equipped municipal park<\/strong> known as <strong>Parco Pabude<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThis forest area preserves traces of the last of the island\u2019s<strong> \u2018prehistoric\u2019 forests<\/strong> with magnificent and immense specimens <strong>dating back centuries<\/strong>. The area is also well known for its <strong>archaeological<\/strong> site of the same name.<\/p>\n<p>Its <strong>flora<\/strong> focuses around the presence of <strong>holm oaks<\/strong>, <strong>downy oaks<\/strong>, <strong>maple trees <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>English Yew<\/strong>, interspersed with patches of <strong>thick undergrowth shrub<\/strong> or <strong>pastures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>North of the forest, in <strong>Mularza Noa,<\/strong> you can admire an unusual <strong>waterfall<\/strong> known as <strong>Cascata Ortachis<\/strong> or <strong>Cascata di Mularza Noa<\/strong>. The waterfall has a drop of <strong>around 6 metres<\/strong> and its waters flow from the <strong>Riu Biralotta river<\/strong>, whose source starts at the <strong>Nuraghe Ortachis<\/strong>, just 700 metres further upstream.<\/p>\n<p>The river flows on the <strong>plateau of volcanic origin<\/strong>, made up of stacks of <strong>welded tuff<\/strong> and other <strong>pyroclastic deposits<\/strong>.
