{"id":29295,"date":"2023-07-14T15:05:06","date_gmt":"2023-07-14T13:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/sistrampu-de-su-segnore-gorge-and-waterfall\/"},"modified":"2023-07-18T11:15:28","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T09:15:28","slug":"sistrampu-de-su-segnore-gorge-and-waterfall","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/sistrampu-de-su-segnore-gorge-and-waterfall\/","title":{"rendered":"S&#8217;Istrampu de su Segnore gorge and waterfall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>s&#8217;Istrampu de su Segnore<\/strong> gorge can be found in the district of <strong>Villanova Monteleone<\/strong>, not far from the coastal road between the towns of <strong>Bosa<\/strong> and <strong>Alghero<\/strong>, on the <strong>western coast of Sardinia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It is a <strong>torrential gorge<\/strong>, carved out by the river of the same name, from the typical <strong>volcanic rocks<\/strong> in this area. Its characteristics make the gorge a place of environmental and geomorphological interest.<\/p>\n<p>Following its flow, the river is subject to a series of three falls. The second one in particular is difficult to reach and is the start of the <strong>waterfall<\/strong> of the same name, <strong>s&#8217;Istrampu de Su Segnore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The route to reach the gorge and follow the flow of the river winds along a path immersed in a <strong>wood of holm oak<\/strong> and <strong>Mediterranean shrub<\/strong>. The entire route is clearly marked with safety measures in place.
