The locally sourced <strong>dark stone<\/strong>, has hints of <strong>yellow from the lichens<\/strong> creating attractive chromatisms.<\/p>\n<p>Recent diggings on the outside of the monument revealed the entrance, the courtyard and one of the side towers. This provided the possibility to further appreciate the <strong>central fortified tower<\/strong>, a large part of whose upper cell <strong>has been preserved<\/strong>. The presence of the <strong>railway nearby<\/strong>, with the passing of small trains, typical of the Sardinian railway lines, provides the complex with an allure of former times, bringing to mind an era when archaeological explorations started with a train journey and continued on horseback or on mules.<\/p>\n<p>Exit the trunk road, SS 131 at the fork for Thiesi-SS 131bis, and follow the country road, SP 21-Scalo Ferroviario di Torralba.
