{"id":29183,"date":"2023-07-04T17:11:49","date_gmt":"2023-07-04T15:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/cala-burantinu\/"},"modified":"2023-09-15T13:06:03","modified_gmt":"2023-09-15T11:06:03","slug":"cala-burantinu","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/cala-burantinu\/","title":{"rendered":"Cala Burantinu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The beach at <strong>Cala Burantinu<\/strong> (also known as <strong>Cala Burantino<\/strong> or <strong>Cala Burant\u00ec<\/strong>) sits to the north-west of<strong> Sardinia<\/strong>, in an area known as &#8220;<strong>Riviera del Corallo<\/strong>&#8220;, in the municipality of <strong>Alghero<\/strong>. The small beach extends <strong>for an overall expanse of<\/strong> about 75 metres<strong>and an average depth of around 15 metres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The sandy shore has a <strong>very fine <\/strong><strong>yellow<\/strong> sand, alternating with the presence of <strong>different sized blocks<\/strong>, detached from the small <strong>cliff of sandstone<\/strong> which surrounds the cove. The sea is a <strong>turquoise blue<\/strong>, with a <strong>mainly sandy seabed<\/strong>, which reduces with low slope, and the presence of <strong>sandstone rocks<\/strong>. The vegetation surrounding the beach is typical of <strong>Mediterranean shrub<\/strong>. There are <strong>rockrose<\/strong>, <strong>heather<\/strong>, <strong>wild rosemary<\/strong>, <strong>juniper<\/strong>, <strong>euphorbia<\/strong>, <strong>myrtle<\/strong>, <strong>strawberry tree<\/strong> and <strong>broom<\/strong> plants.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, access to the cove is difficult due to numerous <strong>private properties<\/strong> in the hinterland.
